Welcome
Jade Mountain Academy welcomes everyone who walks through the doors, whether they are here of their own choice or by order of their queen or parent. All new students and teachers will have received a map of the school, their schedule (prone to change due to the magical nature of the school), and school rules. With the war still fresh in everyone's minds, tensions are still running high, but everyone is doing their best to make Jade Mountain Academy a peaceful place for all tribes. While it may run like a typical school, the unique make-up of students and teachers make it far from typical.

Dorm Life
Perhaps you're used the sharing barracks with other soldiers or dragonets, or maybe you've always had your own room. Regardless, now that you're here it is clear you're expected to share your space with others, most likely from tribes other than your own. Whether these dragons will be your best friends or worst nemeses is all up to you. Upon entering the school, you'll be directed to your dormitory to drop off any personal items and meet your future roommates. Each dorm has a designated space for each dragon, but that doesn't mean there won't be squabbles over who gets the bed by the window, or if someone brought their obnoxious pet.
Class is in Session
At the end of the day learning, or teaching, is what you're all here for. Everyone has their own class schedule, but no matter when your class starts you're expected to be punctual. Even the teachers. Especially the teachers. Some classes may be routine lectures, but you never know when you'll have a pop quiz, paired flying exercises, or collaborative art projects. Every day is a bit unique.
A Place of Study
The library is a hub for student activity, with tables and study nooks throughout, and is open at almost all hours. It's a popular spot for study groups, though of course quiet discussion is encouraged so as not to disturb other students. The tall racks of scrolls offer a plethora of reading material on a wide variety of subjects. Though some scrolls may be in higher demand as tests approach, and maybe you weren't the fastest one to check it out. Hopefully the person who was is generous enough to lend you a claw.

"Apologies, professor, I wasn't looking and mistook you for my SkyWing partner, who appears to have left early rather than complete the assignment." She sounded frustrated but not surprised by this fact, as if she shouldn't have expected any better from them.
"Is there any chance you would be willing to make an exception on this group assignment and allow me to complete the work myself?" She would rather not search the entire school for a delinquent SkyWing.

"I might be willing...or I could offer an extra credit assignment. You and I track down your missing partner. I resolve a truancy, you get a few extra marks and maybe a life lesson or two. You interested?"
Part of the school's purpose is having dragons from across tribes mingle and Aurora looks the type to let scrolls and textbooks be her study partners. Raptor can't let that slide in good conscience. Besides, how often is he the one hunting down Skywings?

She would never turn down a request from a teacher, even if it meant the exact thing she had been trying to avoid, plus she was could hardly imagine his life lessons would prove to be terribly useful in the future. He not exactly the most distinguished professor she studied under.
"Of course, I'm happy to assist in any way I can."

"You've probably tracked down your fair share of dragons. What are some of the most important things to have when tracking something?"
no subject
"First would be checking their most likely location, knowing their schedule or behavior, although we already know they aren't following the supposed routine. Since they're skipping class, the other classrooms and the library aren't likely locations. I would say the sleeping caverns or the prey center would be first to check."

The Skywing nudges back towards the school, inviting Aurora to follow him with the rest of the class working away on their studies.
"So. What do you think of the school so far? I'd ask your partner, but it looks we know their answer by now."
